[skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Rush[/skill][skill]Frenzy[/skill][skill]protector's strike[/skill][skill]healing signet[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
+ some other skill
Just stick with your warrior skills.
when you are in the southern shiverpeaks, cap [wiki]Eviscerate[/wiki] and [wiki]Cleave[/wiki]
and switch to axe

Prophecies only sword users have 2 options: Get an axe or another campaign. No elite (hundred blades doesn't count for obvious reasons) means you just can't match Eviscerate. Try something like this:
[card]Eviscerate[/card][card]Executioner's Strike[/card][card]Cyclone Axe[/card][card]Frenzy[/card][card]Rush[/card][card]Healing Signet[/card][card]Resurrection Signet[/card] +1 appropriate utility. Replace Cyclone Axe if you don't like it. Cleave is available much earlier then Evis, so swap them and Cyclone Axe with Dismember.

sword does not really need an elite to function. that's why you would've seen so many sword warriors using elites from tactics, strength, or even elites from secondaries before the release of factions and NF.
you have sever-gash-final thrust. there's your damage right there.

So you're going by what alot of Warriors have been doing. A large percentage use Mending and Healing Breeze. Is it useful? NO!
In prophecies, there aren't really any viable options for non-attack elites from different attributes.
And btw, Sever/Gash is annoying when you end up killing the target before you can get Gash off, so it's a bit meh to me.

before NF, a large percentage of pvp sword warriors used "CHARGE!" as their elite and sever-gash-final thrust (at 14 sword) as their damage. was it useful? YES! is it still useful? YES, especially it's the best the OP have access to.
sever-gash-final is still one of the most damaging spikes in the game. it's only drawback is that it is slow, which isn't much of a disadvantage in pve. final thrust was the reason why there weren't any good sword elites before factions and NF, simply because it does enough damage by itself, and downright overpowered with a good sword elites. this is also why the sword elites from factions and NF (dragon slash and crippling slash) specifically have high adrenaline costs, simply because anet does not want them to synegize with final thrust.

Why would you bother comparing the two? They aren't really even used for the same things...

You can use a sword very effectively with out an elite sword attack, just because its not comparable to a Dragon Slash build doesn't mean it cant be used.
Charge is a good elite for a war to bring, it helps the casters with kiting and melee to chase down kiters.
Defy Pain, though hated by many, is a good skill to bring. It grants you extra armor and hp wich can allow you to focus on attacking and not worry about taking damage.
Hundred Blades, while not popular, can be used as a fast means of charging all of your adrenaline skills if you hit enough foes at once. It is not a damage skill as many try to make it.

No, it is hated by many because it is actually a bad skill.
It is a bad skill.
Do not bring it.

Hundred blades (being your only sword elite option in Prophecies) is quite handy, especially when combined with Final Thrust, use Hundred Blades combined with "For Great Justice!" to produce large amounts of adrenaline every 8 seconds to power the godly skill that is Final Thrust.
Something like:
[skill]Hundred Blades[/skill]
[skill]Sever Artery[/skill]
[skill]Gash[/skill]
[skill]Final Thrust[/skill]
[skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill]
[skill]Flurry[/skill] (will need a zealous weapon)
[skill]Healing Signet[/skill]
[skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
If you don't want to use a zealous weapon you could replace Flurry and Healing signet with Rush and Frenzy, just remember to watch out for lots of damage coming your way and then cancel Frenzy with Rush.
Also Hundred Blades is only capped on the end mission of Prophecies, which (depending on where you are now) could take some time for you to get.

Wasting your Elite slot for extra health and a little armor that you don't need is never a good idea.

You might wanna try a different build.
replace your helm with an axe mastery helm. it will be more useful to you. the major is ok for a warrior.
run 14 axe, 10 stregnth, 9 tactics, rest in air (should be 5 total after using your axe helm and rune and minor runes everywhere else)
rush
frenzy
penetrating
eviscerate [e]
executioners
heal sig
shock
res sig
This is the standard shock/axe bar that was used back in the days of proph only skills. you can replace penetrating with bulls strike for an additional kd and watch frenzy/heal sig combo as you can get hurt.
and whatever you decide, drop heal breeze
